A Very ASOS Outfit

I wore this outfit last weekend to go out for drinks with friends. I love pencil skirts. Although this one was a bit hard to walk in. I worried all night that I looked like the woman out of the Munsters.

The Body Shop Sale

Get yourself to The Body Shop. I got this lot for only £15!!

Cucumber cleanser and toner. These were £2 each. I've only recently got into using a proper cleanser and toner, and I've really noticed a difference to my skin.

Spiced pumpkin Bath and shower Gel. This was also £2. It smells amazing. I actually going to go get a few more bottles.

Green Apple Bath and Shower gel. £2.

Almond Body Butter. £6. I love anything almond. I've used this before and I love it. Really hydrating and leaves your skin smelling lush.

Hemp moisture balm. I noticed this pot on the counter while I was paying. £1. Bargain.

Look What I Made

excuse the bra!  I've spent the afternoon making this necklace.I picked up a necklace from New Look a while a go, just because I liked the charms. Loads of different sized crosses. I took it apart and rearranged them on new chains and this is the result. I love making my own jewellery. I get beads, charms, and other bits and pieces from ebay and markets, or even just use broken necklace, bracelets etc. I get inspiration from jewellery I see online or in magazines. Its a really fun and cheap hobby.

New Shoes

I was bored after tea yesterday, so I had a drive to Matalan, as you do. And boy, am I glad I did. These boots- 10 quid!! I was eyeing them up a few weeks a go when I skint. They are lush.

Also got this tote bag for a fiver. Don't really need it, but for 5 quid I weren't leaving it.

Finished this book last night. I really enjoyed it. And it had a brill twist at the end.

Been to Manchester Again

Went to see visit my little sister at Manchester this week, had a good time.

Spent an afternoon strolling round Afflecks. Most of the time in a bead shop. I love making my own jewellery. Got a few bits. I'm planning on making some earrings with the flowers.

Also went to the Manchester Museum. How cool is it? Felt like a right big kid. Stan the T-Rex was my favourite part.

Then we went to a really amazing pet shop. Honestly, it was more like a zoo! It even had crocodiles.

These little fellas were £6000. Bargain.......

 All 7 series of Buffy The Vampire Slayer is on Lovefilm Instant. So I'll be stuck to my sofa the next few weeks I think.

Maxi skirt obsession

I'm loving maxi skirts at the moment. I picked this one up from primark. The gorgeous wine colour will be good for autumn too. I've been eyeing some up on Missguided.co.uk this morning. May be making a few purchases come payday.

Finished this book last night. It. Was. Awesome.  I've recently got into Crime/thrillers books. I need some recommendations on some others.

I popped into The Body Shop this morning to get a Vitamin E facial cleansing bar. I've read a few blogs lately that have praised to face soap. So I thought I'd give it a go. I usually use dove soap but I don't think its doing my skin any good. I also picked up the toner and cleansing lotion in the travel size pots to try.

It all started with this little lady, Cha Cha Cha, 6 years ago. Momiji dolls a little message dolls, if you turn them upside down, they contain a little folded note that you can write a little message.

They are the cutest things ever! I have a grand collection of 73.

Woke up at 7am, and saw blue skies outside my window. I thought YES! I can wear my favourite dress today. Up out of bed, grabbed said dress from wardrobe, took blog picture, jumped in shower.

20 minutes later, all showered and suncreamed up. Sod's Law. The sun had gone! Its bloody raining! Grrrr! i have not worn this dress enough this summer. I love it so much.

So, I wore my Topshop black Maxi and Army jacket instead. And we all jumped into the car, for a trip to Morecambe.

Morecambe has a great Sunday market. We had a nice look round, got some pick and mix and I had a root through the second hand book stall. Found "We Need To Talk About Kevin" By Lionel Shriver for a Quid. I've been wanting to read this book since a saw the film.

Had a great day, even if I didn't get to wear my dress. Going to have a long bubble bath, and get a chinese take-out tonight. I've got a couple of Lovefilm DVD's to watch too.

I feel like a burglar in this outfit. But it was a steal (sorry) at 20 quid for the jeans and jumper and £4 for the bag. Total bargain.

Back from Manc Land!

I had a great time in Manchester, love it there.

Had a look round Afflecks, it was brilliant. I got my ear pierced.

Ouch! Got a Tragus piercing, which didn't hurt too bad. and i also got the top of my ear done, which was a stinger!


We also had a good shop round the Arndale Centre. I found a new favourite shop. Pulp. Its bloody brilliant. Loads of cool t-shirts and hoodies. Just take a look at my new t-shirt!

We ate at Bem Brazil. Oh my God! It was gorgeous! The chefs bring over freshly cook meats to your table and carve it there in front of you. I must have tried about 20 different meats. And there was a buffet bar where you got all your veggies and breads and stuff. The cauliflower cheese was AMAZING! My mouth is watering just thinking about. YUM!

Went to The Imax to watch The Dark Knight Rises. I'm so glad we waited to see it at the imax. the screen is huge! It was a great film.

I had such a good time with my hubby for our anniversary. We've decided we should go away somewhere every year now.

Whats in my over night bag

Yay! Finished packing!  I like to pack quite light, but never do. I'll be lying awake tonight thinking about what I've packed and will be changing my mind probably.

I'm really pleased with this outfit. I'm forever putting outfits together up in my head, thinking it'll look great, but when I put everything on, it looks really crap. But Alas! No more! Plus, I feel really comfortable in this. The American Apparel leggings are magical! They are the hi-shine high-waist pair. I feel like they suck in all my lumps and bumps and look great on. And they are half the price of the Disco pants. I'd recommend these if your after the disco pants but not the price tag.
We are going to Bem Brazil for a meal, and then to catch a film at the Imax tomorrow evening.

Having a total meltdown today! I cannot decide what to pack for Manchester. I'm going tomorrow for my 3 year wedding anniversary. The weather is rubbish today, but will no doubt be completely different tomorrow. I'll be spending  today ironing various outfits just in case.

We are planning on going to Afflecks palace. I'm so excited, I've never been there before. I'm going to be a rebel and get a piercing.

I'm trying to decide what to pack for my anniversary trip to Manchester, I never know what to take this time of year as you never know what the weather is going to be like. This is why I prefer Winter. You know where you stand in Winter.  And there is no disappointment.

Just finished reading this book by Laini Taylor. I really enjoyed it, and I can't wait for the next book. Also, I believe it is going to made into a film.

Nipped into town today, to browse round Boots and Superdrug. Finally got my hands on a Revlon Lipbutter.

I've been wanting one for ages, but my local Superdrug have been out of stock for weeks! After lots of swatching, I decided on Tutti Frutti. I've been after an orange coloured lipstick for a while, but find must lipsticks dry my lips out. I've had this one on for a good hour now, and it just feels like a lipbalm. So nourishing! I'm one happy orange-lipped girly!

Got this Collection 2000 blush in breathless too, after reading a blog about it yesterday. it was likened to Nars orgasm , so I just had to try it for myself. I would recommend it, its lovely on.

i re-purchased 17 BB cream in light. i've tried a few BB creams now, and 17 has been the best. The colour matches my skin tone better then the rest I've tried and it is considerately cheaper.
I'm going to have a pamper night tonight with my new mud mask and colour my hair mahogany. Its  just a semi-permanent colour so if its a total disaster it'll wash out.

Naughty Sunday Sale Shopping

I love a Topshop sale. I especially love Topshop jeans that are in the sale. So imagine my delight when I found these beauties yesterday in my local Toppers. Half price!

I also quite like a New Look sale too, got these pumps for 7 quid.

I'm going to Manchester in a couple of week, so should really be saving cash for shopping there. But these were too good a bargain to not buy, and at least the shoes are practical. This is what i'm telling myself anyway.

GlossyBox July 2012

My first ever GlossyBox arrived today. I know i'm behind with the times, i've been "umming and ahhing" about signing up for months. This week I thought, sod it! I'm getting one. And I am so glad I did.

The box is so beautiful, and I'm really looking forward to trying all the products. especially the Jelly Pong Pong Lip frosting. It smells delish!
